RESPONSIBILITIES:

Qualifications

New Mexico

Full-time position. 

MISSION OF ROLE:

The Development Associate will be engaged in a fast-paced and innovative organization with a high performing team. They will be responsible for greenfield project development and assisting with M&A due diligence in select state markets in the fast-growing community solar space.

The candidate must be an entrepreneurial-minded team player capable of working directly with landowners, permitting agencies, engineers, and designers to help develop SunShare’s project portfolio. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working under the supervision and guidance of a Development Director, develop projects in designated markets up to the Construction Notice to Proceed (NTP) milestone:

  • Identify potential projects sites by utilizing SunShare’s internal GIS personnel and various internal mapping tools along with publicly available data sets.
  • Complete landowner outreach campaigns through cold-calling, mailers, and in-person visits.
  • Complete desktop site suitability analysis and reports.
  • Work with engineering and construction team to further vet site selection and suitability.
  • Prepare and submit pre-applications (aka capacity screens) to the utility.
  • Negotiate with landowners to secure site leases and complete land acquisitions.
  • Work with legal to prepare and execute land lease/purchase option agreements with lessee/seller.
  • Manage consulting engineers for the preparation of Interconnection Applications.
  • Track development spending as against approved budgets.
  • Maintain progress/status of projects using company’s project management tools.  
  • Prepare and receive Land Use Permit applications and permitting process including
    public hearings – candidate should be capable of building local stakeholder support presenting before local planning and county commissions.
  • Transition project to Operations team for the building permits and construction and as necessary to achieve COD and stabilized commercial operations.

POSITION SUMMARY

days are exactly the same. The Project Coordinator brings order to chaos, enjoys working with team members across multiple business units, and ensures that SunShare’s project portfolio monitoring and reporting is accurate.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
This position will work closely with and report to the Project Manager while supporting the development of current and future project pipelines. This position will play a critical role in ensuring that SunShare achieves project milestones and pipeline goals.

– Work closely with the Project Manager to provide accurate project data and document deliverables related to all project stage gates (site control, permitting, interconnection, construction documents, etc.).
– Support due diligence efforts on an as-needed basis by creating and managing
necessary data rooms and supporting checklist efforts throughout transactions.
– Work closely with the development team on the submission of application materials to utility programs; support with Quality Assurance of submitted application materials to ensure expedited and accurate applications.
– Monitor and track project status for all project applications; manage data entry and tracking for the same; support the development team in creating reporting for all project applications with an eye towards accuracy and audience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief
Financial Officer, and the Controller while supporting the day-to-day human resources functions of the
company. This position will play a critical role in ensuring that SunShare’s human resources policies
and procedures are compliant and in line with SunShare’s core values.


– Maintains I-9 and all employee records to keep them up to date and accurate.
– Manages open enrollment and administers benefits for all SunShare employees through
Employee Navigator.
– Works closely with outside vendors on benefits, recruiting efforts, and HRIS maintenance.
– Creates digital personnel files for new employees and manages onboarding and offboarding

• Acts as the company’s first point of contact for third parties and directs inquiries to the
appropriate internal party as needed.
• Maintains the office and fosters a functional and friendly workplace.

This role will provide an opportunity to work part-time, but may grow into a full time role. Our office is located in Denver, Colorado, and the expectation is that the candidate will be located in the Colorado area and willing to come into the office on an as-needed basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Draft and negotiate solar lease agreements, lease option agreements, land purchase agreements, and land purchase option agreements.

– Negotiate agreements with landowners and their attorneys.
– Review title and take corrective action, as appropriate.
– Work with the team to address legal issues as they arise.
– Manage all Company legal entity formation, maintenance, foreign qualifications and good standing.
– Manage outside legal counsel engaged to represent the Company in connection with real property legal matters.
– Track and report legal spend as against project budgets as well as the overall legal budget.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Community Solar Consultant will be an independent contractor based out of SunShare’s Denver office and will be principally responsible for nurturing community solar customer prospects to close while representing the professionalism and the focus on customer-experience that is a core value of SunShare. As a Solar Consultant, your responsibility will be to educate residents on the benefits of community solar thereby enabling consumers to make informed decisions about their energy usage, the environment, and how to better their lives. This position requires experience in direct B-to-C sales as well as excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. The candidate will be required to effectively master and articulate SunShare’s value proposition, diligently track activity using SunShare’s systems and processes, participate in some evening and weekend events, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s messaging and sales operations. Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced and unstructured environment and should be an independent thinker and problem-solver.

POSITION SUMMARY

The GIS Associate will be engaged in a fast-paced and innovative organization with a high performing team. They will support the development team in site prospecting, suitability assessment, and data analysis in select state markets in the fast-growing community solar space.

The candidate must be a problem-solving collaborator capable of working independently with the guidance of department colleagues and leadership teams. Experience in the renewable power industry is preferred with a focus on solar project siting, thematic mapping, and constraints analysis supporting development, construction, financing, and operations. This position requires an individual with the ability to implement GIS solutions across different departments to achieve the company’s goals.

Salary range: $70,000 – $85,000 commensurate with experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

Support the development team in prospecting and evaluating new project opportunities in multiple states. 

  • Create exhibits and site plans for the development teams efforts to procure land. 
  • Coordinate with development, engineering, and construction teams to help with effective site selection and land assessment processes. 
  • Perform preliminary site analysis including all potential constraints (i.e., wetlands, conservation) to optimize land development and permitting processes. 
  • Collaborate in developing GIS tools to create efficiencies in project siting. 
  • Map electric distribution infrastructure to support siting and point of interconnection evaluations. 
  • Manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously with minimal oversight. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geospatial Sciences, or Environmental Sciences. 
  • 2+ years of experience in GIS, land constraints, surveying, desktop analysis, and thematic mapping.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro including geoprocessing tools and spatial analysis is required.
  • Solid understanding of coordinate systems, geomatics and GIS database management.
  • Experience with Google Earth.
  • Comfortable with all formats of GIS data including shapefiles, KMZs, rasters and point clouds.
