The length of my Agreement is 12 months

The term of my Agreement begins the day I start earning Bill Credits on my Xcel Energy^®bill. My one-year subscription will auto-renew each year unless I provide notice to SunShare at least 30 days prior to the renewal date.

I will receive two bills

Once my community solar garden is active, I’ll receive two bills every month – one from SunShare and one from Xcel Energy. My Xcel Energy bill will be reduced to reflect the solar credits generated by my SunShare subscription, and my SunShare bill will reflect the cost of the solar energy generated by my subscription that month. I will always receive Bill Credits on my Xcel Energy account before paying SunShare for that same production.

My subscription rate will be defined at the beginning of the Term

The rate I pay SunShare will always be one-half penny ($0.005) per kWh above the Bill Credit rate that I receive from Xcel Energy. The net difference between my two bills will be just a few dollars per month.

I have cancellation options

If I wish to cancel my subscription, I must provide at least 30 days’ notice before the end of each subscription year; otherwise, my subscription will auto-renew for an additional year. I can also cancel any time if I move out of Xcel Energy service territory or no longer receive a utility bill.

The Term of my Agreement begins the day I start earning Bill Credits on my Xcel Energy^®bill and will end 20 years after the garden’s Commercial Operation Date. I’ll receive Bill Credits from Xcel Energy on my utility bill for this duration of time, for as long as I’m a valid SunShare subscriber.

I will receive two bills

Once my community solar garden is active, I’ll receive two bills every month – one from SunShare and one from Xcel Energy. My Xcel Energy bill will be reduced to reflect the solar credits generated by my SunShare subscription, and my SunShare bill will reflect the cost of the solar energy generated by my subscription that month. I’ll always receive Bill Credits on my Xcel Energy account before paying SunShare for that same production.

I can cancel any time if I move out of Xcel Energy service territory or no longer receive a utility bill. Otherwise, I can find a replacement subscriber, or allow SunShare to find a replacement for me, which may take up to 90 days. SunShare will never charge me a termination fee.

The Term of my Agreement begins the day I start earning Bill Credits on my Xcel Energy® bill and will end 25 years after the garden’s Commercial Operation Date. I’ll receive Bill Credits from Xcel Energy on my utility bill for this duration of time, as long as I remain a valid SunShare subscriber.

My Bill Credit Rate might change:

The Bill Credit Rate is the rate I will receive on my Xcel Energy utility bill for each kilowatt hour of electricity the community solar garden generates on my behalf. Typically, the bill credit rate changes every year.

My SunShare rate will always be 5% less than the Bill Credit Rate:

This is the rate I will pay to SunShare for each kilowatt hour of electricity the community solar garden generates on my behalf. It will be 5% lower than the Bill Credit Rate I receive on my Xcel Energy utility bill. Typically, the Bill Credit rate changes every year, and my community solar rate will be adjusted accordingly. Regardless of the Bill Credit rate, my SunShare bill will be 5% less than the Bill Credits I receive for the given production month!

I have cancellation options:

I can cancel any time if I move out of Xcel Energy service territory or no longer receive a utility bill. Otherwise, I can terminate my SunShare agreement with 90 days’ written notice. SunShare will never charge me a termination fee.

Typically, the Solar Bill Credit rate and Administrative Cost Rider change periodically along with retail energy rates.

My SunShare rate will always be 10% less than the Net Solar Bill Credit Rate:

This is the rate I will pay to SunShare for each kilowatt hour of electricity the community solar garden generates on my behalf. It will always be 10% lower than the Net Solar Bill Credit Rate I receive on my PNM utility bill. Typically, the Solar Bill Credit and Administrative Cost Rider rates change periodically, and my community solar rate will be adjusted accordingly. Regardless of the Net Solar Bill Credit Rate, my SunShare bill will always be 10% less than the Net Solar Bill Credits I receive for the given production month!

Autopay:

SunShare recommends enrolling in Autopay so I never miss a payment. I will have the opportunity to opt in or out of Autopay at any point during my subscription.

I have cancellation options:

I can cancel my SunShare agreement with 90 days’ written notice. SunShare will never charge me a termination fee.

Other important items:

This is not an investment contract or security. SunShare is not a cooperative, and I am not an owner of SunShare or the community solar garden.

Billing:

Once your community solar garden is active, you’ll receive Solar Bill Credits on your PNM bill. You will receive a statement from SunShare reflecting the total environmental offsets produced by your subscription, but the bill charges will always be $0!

Eligibility:

Your participation requires that you are the Primary Account Holder on your PNM bill and have been approved for the Neighbor Special offer by an authorized SunShare representative.

Agreement Term:

The length of your agreement is simply the length of the agreement between CSolPower and PNM to deliver solar energy onto the power grid. This is also the length of time for which you are guaranteed to receive Solar Bill Credits from PNM on your utility bill.

Net Solar Bill Credit Rate:

The Net Solar Bill Credit Rate is comprised of two components: The Solar Bill Credit (SBC) applicable to your Rate Schedule, minus the Administrative Cost Rider (ACR) assessed by PNM to community solar subscribers. The SBC is the rate you will receive on your PNM utility bill for each kilowatt hour of electricity the community solar garden generates on your behalf. The ACR is a cost assessed to each kWh of your subscription, which SunShare will cover on your behalf. Typically, the Solar Bill Credit rate and Administrative Cost Rider change periodically along with your retail energy rate. The current SBC rate and ACR are published here.

Cancellation Options:

You can cancel with 90 days’ prior written notice with no penalty.

I have a choice in how I would like to be billed for my community solar subscription costs, which I can change at any time:

✓ Consolidated Billing (one bill): With Consolidated Billing, both my community solar credits and charges will appear on my existing Xcel Energy bill.

✓ SunShare Billing (two bills): If I decline consolidated billing, I will receive two bills each month; one from Xcel Energy that shows my community solar credits, and a second invoice from SunShare for my community solar charges.

Eligibility

My participation requires that I meet the income eligibility standards required to receive financial assistance from a federal, state, municipal, or utility program administered or approved by Minnesota’s Department of Commerce. A current list of eligible programs can be found here, and may be updated from time to time. I am not required to enroll in Autopay, although I have the option to do so at the time of my enrollment or at any point during the Term of my Agreement. SunShare will not perform a Credit Check.

Agreement Term

The length of my SunShare agreement is simply the length of the agreement between SunShare and Xcel Energy to deliver solar energy onto the power grid. This is also the length of time for which I am guaranteed to receive Bill Credits from Xcel Energy on my utility bill.

Bill Credit Rate

The Bill Credit Rate is the rate I will receive on my Xcel Energy utility bill for each kilowatt hour of electricity the community solar garden generates on my behalf. Typically, the bill credit rate changes every year.

SunShare Community Solar Rate

The SunShare Community Solar Rate is the rate I will pay to SunShare for each kilowatt hour of electricity the community solar garden generates on my behalf. It will be 20% lower than the Bill Credit Rate I receive on my Xcel Energy utility bill for each kilowatt hour of electricity the community solar garden generates on my behalf. Typically, the Bill Credit rate changes every year, and my community solar rate will be adjusted accordingly. Regardless of the Bill Credit rate, my SunShare bill will be 20% less than the Bill Credits I receive for the given production month!

Cancellation Options

I can cancel with 90 days’ prior written notice with no penalty.

My participation requires that I am a participant of one or more of the following programs: Medicaid; Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); Low‐Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP); a first-time homeowner program or housing rehabilitation program; state and federal income tax credit programs; or that I live in a low-income/affordable housing facility. I am not required to enroll in Autopay, although I have the option to do so at the time of my enrollment or at any point during the Term of my Agreement. SunShare will not perform a Credit Check.

The length of my Agreement is 25 years

The Term of my Agreement begins the day I start earning Solar Bill Credits on my PNM bill and will continue for the duration of the agreement between SunShare and PNM for the community solar garden. I’ll receive Solar Bill Credits from PNM on my utility bill for this duration of time, as long as I remain a valid SunShare subscriber.

My Net Solar Bill Credit Rate might change:

The Net Solar Bill Credit Rate is the rate I will receive on my PNM utility bill for each kilowatt hour of electricity the community solar garden generates on my behalf, minus the Administrative Cost Rider (ACR) assessed by PNM. Typically, the Solar Bill Credit rate and Administrative Cost Rider change periodically along with retail energy rates.

If I wish to exit the contract while I remain eligible, I may be required to remain enrolled until my subscription is transferred to another customer from SunShare's waitlist or be subject to a termination fee.

I must maintain or transfer my subscription

My home is required to remain a subscriber to the community solar garden to fulfill offset requirements. Therefore, if I move, I must transfer my subscription to the new homeowner. I have the option of re-enrolling at my new home if I would like.
