About You: You are a seasoned originator and developer of community solar projects who has done everything from identifying market opportunities and securing early land positions to obtaining land use permits, interconnection and offtake agreements, and utility permission to operate. You are deeply aware of what it takes for projects to succeed and have the persistence to see them through to completion.
Beyond your direct development experience, you love mentoring others and developing the next generation of project developers. You have experience managing team of direct reports, and a record of successfully obtaining the kind of results that are only possible from a high performing team.

About the Role: This position will report to the Chief Operations Officer and will own all aspects origination and development in the Colorado market. The role may also lead the opening of new markets as opportunities are identified. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing 1-3 project developers.
- Understanding and analyzing the legislative and regulatory landscape to create an effective project origination and development strategy.
- Engaging with industry associations, regulators, and legislators when needed to ensure a healthy development market
- Deploying a land acquisition strategy to efficiently secure site control in the targeted markets
- Diving into specific challenging projects to help the team navigate complex interconnection, permitting, and title issues.
- Identifying target community solar market opportunities and develop and manage a go-to market strategy, budget, hiring plan, success metrics, and land acquisition strategy.
- Recruiting and managing a high performing project origination and development team as market opportunities expand.

Compensation: Base salary of $120,000-$165,000, performance bonuses with no cap and target of 20% of salary, and employee stock option plan. This position also includes a full benefit package of health/dental/vision insurance with up to 100% of premium covered, company sponsored disability coverage, company sponsored life insurance coverage, and eligibility to participate in a 401(k) plan.
