Ever wondered how solar energy and farm-to-table dining come together? SunShare is excited to announce we’ve teamed up with Tangletown Gardens for an innovative project that links sustainable farming practices to renewable resources. SunShare and the trend-forward garden center in Minneapolis are making a significant impact in both regenerative agriculture and the community’s energy footprint.
How It Works
Nestled just across from the Tangletown Gardens farm in Plato, Minnesota, the BuffaloSun Community Solar Garden is well under construction. This array of solar panels will provide roughly 1,304 kilowatts of clean, renewable energy to the energy grid while also integrating seamlessly into Tangletown’s regenerative agricultural practices. Patrons of Tangletown Gardens, as well as their CSA program, online Farm Direct store, and Wise Acre Eatery, have had the opportunity to subscribe to this garden, making Tangletown their one stop shop for everything green. Tangletown’s Farmer Dean and his team have meticulously planted an array of tomatoes and honey crisp apple trees around the perimeter of the solar panels, enriching the landscape and supporting their farm-to-table ethos. This partnership underscores our mutual commitment to environmental stewardship and community enrichment.

Wise Acre Eatery
