how It Works

1. Check Eligibility

Community solar is only available in certain areas, and each of our gardens has limited space. Simply enter your zip code and your utility provider, and confirm your assistance program to instantly see if you’re eligible.

2. Join A Garden

Subscribe today and we’ll get you set up in one of our solar gardens. We handle the communications with your utility, and you maintain your privacy and control of your utility account.

3. Start Saving

Securing your spot in one of our local solar gardens today ensures that your subscription will start generating clean, local energy as soon as possible. Once you’re placed in a local solar garden, you’ll start receiving credits on your utility bill, save money on your electricity costs, and contributing to a cleaner, brighter planet.

What is a Solar Garden?

Community Solar Gardens are centrally-located solar photovoltaic (PV) systems that provide electricity to participating subscribers. Due to their large size, they are able to serve sometimes thousands of subscribers.

What Is Community Solar?

Community solar provides access to solar energy for homeowners, renters, apartments, and homes whose roof isn’t suitable for panels – with no upfront cost. Instead of putting panels on your roof, we build large solar projects called community solar gardens with thousands of panels. You subscribe to a portion of the energy produced in the community solar garden, along with many other residents who share your commitment to renewable energy. Your utility continues delivering your energy and you receive solar credits on your electricity bill. It’s that easy.
